Another brooch. A smaller one, this time, but also covered with small glass beads, freshwater pearls and some metal flowers. I also love the fury lace which balances the sparkle of the beads. I have to say it feels really lovely to know that Santa has this year quite a few jewelry made by my little hands in his gift bag. This one including.
Summer berries
•December 7, 2009 • Leave a CommentIn this brooch two kinds of ideas meet – organza flower and bead-filled brooch which you could see in the last post. This is again lots of beads on the border, but in the center there is a bit of organza. At the heart there is a piece of old broken jewelry, bracelet, I believe. Using broken, but beautiful pieces in brooches is something I intend to do more often.
Why summer berries? It does look to me like a basket of full of forest berries of different kinds and sizes. I guess, this dark and sunless Nordic winter is getting to me – I miss the summer and sun and berries.
Another brooch

•December 3, 2009 • Leave a CommentSometimes people ask where do I get my ideas for jewelry. I never know. It seems it is a gradual constant process. My brooches are a good example of it. First I made these flowers with rich center. Now I make only these centers, but richer, bigger, shinier
And I have to say already in advance, these centers also grow into earrings.
This first pinkish brooch found its place on beret of similar colour. Such a great idea! Both of the brooches has a combination of everything on it – glass beads, seed beads, some semiprecious stones, freshwater beads, some buttons and lace.
Oh, how I enjoy making these brooches! I have a very intense and demanding period in terms of work now. Landing on my coach and just playing around with tiny shiny beads, combining them, creating this beauty really is the best recreation activity I could imagine. Brain that is so tired of working day can switch off, this process uses some other senses, no thinking needed.
Floral beauty
•November 29, 2009 • 1 CommentThese organza flower brooches are great to spice up your winter coats. These do tend to be dark and dullish, black most often, don’t they. But also it looks beautiful on hats and berets.
The petals are made of organza and the core is rich, full of all kinds of beads. The pink one has some fresh water pearls in addition to glass beads.
Something made a long time ago
•November 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentI discovered two necklaces which I made already long ago and I haven’t blogged yet.
The first one is a simple brown polymer clay pendant decorated with metal flowers and hanging on double chain…
The other one is asymmetrical, made of silver plated wire, all kinds of different beads and organza ribbon, also decorated with seed beads. This is a beautiful and tender piece of jewelry.
bridal
•August 16, 2009 • Leave a Commenti made few jewellery pieces for a wedding – bridemaids will wear blue earrings I made. this necklace looks like a bride could wear it. it doesn’t have a bride yet. so if anyone is interested, let me know
It is good for all other purposes and events, of course as well.
the pendant is made of two kinds of polymer clay, one is mother of pearl white and the second one is translucent. they look pretty nice and dynamic together. the biggest of the glass beads have this lovely milky glow and the other ones have a mother of pearl shine. it looks lovely, believe me.
I need some order!
•July 23, 2009 • Leave a CommentI made a little shelf to make some space and some organization on my table. It had become already kind of impossible to make any jewellery in the mess all these boxes and thingies created.
So, I needed a wooden plank, two things to hold it, some screws and a bit of white paint. Altogether it turned out a cheap and extremely easy to make solution. I have been in a search for such small but nice shelf for ages but with no success. So I am very happy now. Not to mention all the pleasure building it gave
I plan to make few more of these. Two to the kitchen and one more for my jewellery stuff.
Of course there was no doubt – in few moments it was clear that this space on a table was made for him…
A Dress necklace vol2
•July 10, 2009 • Leave a CommentI was thinking of this long ago made necklace when shaping this orange dress shaped pendant. Similarly, I was trying to put this one also on the hanger, but it looked much better without. The pendant is sparkling a bit due to a whit polymer clay with a mother of pearl effect. The rest of the necklace is made of simple seed beads and colourful glass chips. Jolly summery necklace I think. And the earrings. What do they remind you of? hats? Mushrooms? ghosts?
